Jakub Wódka

Investigator

Graduated from Warsaw School of Economics, Department of International Relations and Warsaw University, Institute of Oriental Studies. Currently assistant professor at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where he received his PhD in 2010.

Jakub has published extensively on Turkish domestic and foreign policy, among others in Journal of Balkan and Near Eastern Studies, Southeast European and Black Sea Studies, Futures, Turkish Policy Quarterly, Insight Turkey, Studia Polityczne, Myśl Ekonomiczna i Polityczna. He has authored and co-authored several books, among others Polityka zagraniczna Turcji. Uwarunkowania wewnętrzne oraz podmioty decyzyjne, published in 2012 and Europeizacja partii politycznych i grup interesu w wybranych krajach Partnerstwa Wschodniego i kandydujących do Unii Europejskiej published in 2015.

He has been an expert on Turkey-EU relations in the European Union in the World 2025 – Scenarios for EU relations with its neighbours and strategic partners project of the Dahrendorf Forum. Project director of the National Scientific Center-funded project on Differentiated integration, Turkish accession prospects and EU geopolitics.

In 2017/2018, visiting scholar at the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at the Harvard University.
