About the Undergraduate Programme in Internal Security

The Institute of Political Science, University of Warsaw, as one of the first academic centres in Poland, decided to launch a new field of study – Internal Security.

It was the answer to the growing demand for the theoretical knowledge and its practical use in the area of internal security and public order. The Institute of Political Science provides educational opportunities at both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

To improve its educational offer the Institute of Political Science decided to start a new and innovative Undergraduate Programme in Internal Security (UPIS) which is addressed to all international and Polish applicants who are interested in gaining knowledge about the security issues in the age of globalization. UPIS covers the variety of courses which are taught in English.

Apart from the regular courses our students are also invited to take part in the academic life by participating in events  such as: conferences, debates, lectures of guests from all over the world and numerous social events.

The Undergraduate Programme in Internal Security lasts 6 semesters. In order to receive the degree the graduates will be required to pass all the courses and write a Bachelor’s thesis.
